Rarotonga, the capital of our friendly little corner of the Pacific, is a very small island at only 32 kms around the outer perimeter. It takes approximately 40 minutes to drive around the island by car or motor scooter, which means all services and amenities on the island are just 20 minutes from wherever you are. There are only 16,000 of us living in the Cook Islands. 10,000 live on Rarotonga with the rest living on 12 of our 15 islands. We are Polynesian, naturally friendly and openly welcome visitors to our shores like we have been doing for the past millennium or two. Everyone speaks English as well as the native Polynesian language. Rarotonga is the transport hub of the Cook Islands with frequent connections from New Zealand, Australia, Tahiti, North America (via Los Angeles) and S...
A small sequence from entertainment night at Edgewater Resort, Rarotonga, where we stayed in April 2003. I have since my childhood loved Pacific islands song, music and dancing....and eventually seeing it live, allthough in a tourist setting, was fantastic and thrilling! No less so because of the beautiful, graceful and sensual girls performing here.....Enjoy!

The Cook Islands, Avarua Is it a country, is it not a country? Sometimes it's hard to say. The Cook Islands have their own government, their own language and a defined national area where it's people live. They have their own money but everyone pays in New Zealand dollars. N.Z. is responsible for the Cook Islands defence and it's inhabitants have a New Zealand passport. The Cook Islands have no seat in the U.N. It's called a free association with New Zealand. An unusual constuction for an unusual island. But it sure is beautiful. I spent some days on the pristine beaches, drove along the 32 kilometer long coastal road and drank some very sweet cocktails. For the project Streets of the World this is the farthest country east from Amsterdam that I'll go. That is if it's a country. If it is...
This week we learned the in's and out's of living the remote island life. They say that cruising is really just doing boat projects in beautiful places and that sure is the truth. While trying to hunt down outboard engine parts, we got to see how Aitutaki's 2000 inhabitants supply their island, from apples to SUVs, and even witnessed a WHALE SHOW right from our cockpit! Enjoy! -.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-. Plus with it being water resistant, I don't have to worry about my clumsy self dropping it in the pool. Huge thank you to Samsung for sponsoring this video! Our dream island! For those who don't know, this island is so special to us. This is our 2nd (mine) and 3rd (Clay's) time returning to Aitutaki and its beautiful blue lagoon. The reason it is so special apart from being just incredibly beautiful is that Clay and I conceived little Lexington there. While we didn't have the best run with weather while were there and as I have talked about previously with you guys, it was very different traveling with Lex, we made the most of it and we will truly treasure these memories forever. Hope you LOVE this Vlog guys! xx FOLLOW ME ON // Snapchat: reviejane Instagram: @RevieJane (www.instagram.com/reviejane) Blog: www.reviejane.com Facebook: /reviejaneofficial (www.facebook.com/reviejaneofficial) FOLLOW CLAY // www.instagram.com/clay_schulz
